Peter Milligan is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Victory Lakes Piranhas. Prior to Victory Lakes, he held head coaching roles at Brentsville District High School, Falls Church High School, Freedom High School, and The Edmund Burke School. He also served as assistant coach of Boars Head Sports Club, part of the Jefferson Swim League in Charlottesville, VA.His philosophy for summer swimming combines fun, community, sportsmanship, and success in the pool, focusing on stroke technique, race technique, and swim fundamentals.Out of the pool, Peter works as the head of public relations for Monte Carlo, a data startup. He lives in Bristow with his wife Michelle, sons Jack (6), Charlie (5), and Cooper (<1), and two dogs, Lainey and May.
My name is Peter Gilbert. I have swam since I was very young, joining the Bridlewood Bridlewaves at the age of 5. After years of being in the sport, I took my swimming to the next level with OCCS when I was 10. After I graduated, I continued my training at the collegiate level at Milligan University, where I still attend and compete today. Last year I was offered a coaching position for the Victory Lake Piranha swim team and loved it. This year, I was happy to accept another coaching position with the team and I am excited to see what we can do this summer! Go Piranhas!
